The New Myth

Hell is more real now
Though it is a myth to my nation,
And it strikes most as foul
Proving a Midwesterner’s lack of education,
They say doctrines should throw in their toll
And that love overcomes such degradation,
Plato would at least blink
In this cave called ‘Tolerance’,
The whole ship is going to sink
But don’t tell them, it would be an offence,
The dam of secularization has a leek
And healing comes only by repentance;
It all seems stern
And it all seems primitive,
But work out the implications
And by the New Testament you will learn
That all shall live
But only in Christ is glorification.
