Pro Law

Pro-Law

Life splattering across the walls
Objective definitions slowly eroding away
Advancement in technology
Advancement in understanding
Detachment in ethics,
Silently millions move on
Their voices never heard,
For they were not considered yet human
In this sophisticated land of statutes and laws,
Moans and groans over killing a chicken or a tree
But an a human embryo…it’s our justified choice,
Behind closed doors and absurdities
American massacres millions
If an embryo is not a person
What is it, and what rights does it have?
In this land in which all have inalienable rights,
It certainly does exist
Is it not a being?
A being in of itself
Or is it only potential?
Nothingness waiting to be
Is not the answer beyond your opinion?
Or have we completely succumbed to subjectivity?
Our right to choose supercedes their right to exist,
And we are a rare species killing our own.
