Professor Lewis
God’s English advocate and defender
My intellectual guide and teacher,
Your humble pen wrote mightily
As a knight’s sword in battle
Your pen slayed many dragons,
You open one to new realities
The realities that were always there
Only darkened by this evil age,
You understood the myth come true
And you defended Him like very few,
I shall meet you soon enough professor
I will meet you in a place beyond Narnia
In the truest home of myth and reality,
For now I thank our King for you
You served Him with great chivalry;
I will try to make you both proud,
It is still hard to believe, I, a knight
But one must not doubt the King,
While He is my love
And the one for which I battle
Your example serves me well
I thank you both for your pen,
And please pray for me
As I put on my ancient armor,
And save a chair for me if you will
Or perhaps a spot under the tree
We can share war stories
And praise our King.
