The Wordless

The Wordless

Whispered through the wrestling of leaves
Seen in the slightest turn of the head
Felt in the gentle autumn breeze,
Oh, please do not put a word to it

Heard in the long breath sighed
Seen in the curvature of a mouth
Felt in the evening summer sun,
No words can captivate it

Laughter hidden in the romantic dark
The silent speech of blinking eyes
The warmth of a winter fire,
Do not dare to speak it

The restaurant’s clanging of glass
Christmas lights reflecting in the snow
Praying, holding family hands,
It transcends language

So keep your eyes open
Unplug your ears
Pray to the Lord
And take it in everyday.
