The Beauty of Evil

The Beauty (not problem) of Evil

Who can comprehend?
Who can write the equation?
Nil, none are left standing;
You are the splinter in the mind of all who think
You are the fault line upon which many tank
You are the most fundamental
Yet most elusive of questions,
Where did you begin?
Or how did you begin?
Shall I place the fault within the divine?
Or is the guilty party all mine?

Wills, responsibility, sovereignty, causality,
Read all that is great
Sit outside and contemplate

Where does one go?
Where does one pass the buck?
Where does one say, “Aw Yah, I’ve got it!”?

Upon the knees prostrated
Upon the knees in finitude
Prostrated in reverent aw of the Eternal One,
No equation, but worship.
