Save My Family
Take the needle that is your Word
Take the thread that is your church
And sow this family back together;
Mend the hurting hearts
Mend the deeds of those that hurt
And let your Spirit do its work;
Pour forgiveness over our eyes
Pour humility upon our tongues,
And let the doors close for each to pray;
Chastise our crookedness and wavering
Chastise our subtle will to manipulate,
And bring your healing by correction;
Pursue the wondering as a shepherd
Pursue the embittered as a lover,
And snatch us all by the grace of your love;
Bring reconciliation first to you
Bring reconciliation amongst the members,
And make this family what you’d have it be.
